Had a pretty good week as it goes.
House is getting more sorted, feeling much more awake and proactive and I am off on holiday next Thursday, which I am EVER so slightly looking forward to.
I literally can't wait to not have to worry about making dinner, washing clothes or having to get up for work for a whole week. Also, getting to spend a load of time with Sam will be lovely. We're not one of those couples who start to drive each other crazy living in close proximity, we actually argue more when we're forced apart from each other which isn't often! We spend most of our holidays sitting outdoors late into the evenings, smoking crazy flavoured cigarettes and playing an insane amount of cards. I guess we can still play cards. I intend to read a load of books and get a bit of colour on my cheeks and just relax. I won't be getting any time off after this until Christmas so need to make the most of it!
Got a bag of maternity clothes off a very nice and generous girl in my year from school so I have some more bits added to my fat collection, getting more used to these trousers that go over the 'bump'. I have got more of a bump now, I should probably try and start taking some pictures so I can see how much I am growing... It's the only thing I'm not documenting and to be honest its more because I can never be bothered to do my hair these days so I'm not very photo ready. But I'll put it on my to-do-list.
Saw my midwife yesterday and got to hear little baby's heartbeat which was lovely, always that small fear that they might not find it but they got it straight away. Sam was working so I took my mummy instead which I think she enjoyed... I can't actually believe that in a month I'm pretty much halfway. Which doesn't feel that long... I just can't wait. Especially to find out if it's a girl or a boy that's only 3 weeks away <3
I have a new craving that I'm not happy about: Tuna. I want a big fat cheesy tuna melt covered in capers everyday for lunch. The problem with this is you're only meant to have tuna once a week and although I am sticking to this rule I'm confused about why I want it so much. Just writing this and thinking about it is making my mouth water so I need to stop! Hopefully it will pass.
Baby is avocado sized. Still no closer to being named and apparently now able to grasp things like the umbilical cord. Which really grossed my darling friends out! Sometimes I think I can feel it moving but still not 100% but always waiting in anticipation, I sure I will feel something in the next few weeks that I will be sure of, all very exciting. I think I am enjoying this part of being pregnant. FINALLY.
I imagine I'll be too busy before I go away to write so I will report all the holiday gossip when I return :)
