When I first found out I was pregnant, being the IPad queen I am, I knew I needed an app for information. It was an exciting time and I wanted to know everything about the journey my baby was making to enter the world.
I chose the Pregnancy Plus App. See picture of it below.
I'm not sure why I chose this one but I'm so glad I did. There is a free version which I think has all the information up to 14 weeks so you can see if you like it, then if you do, the full version isn't expensive I think it was £1.50 which really isn't a lot considering I have used it constantly.
It's very simple to use, visually it's really lovely, it has so many helpful pages as well as all the info you need being pregnant. The ONLY negative for me is that it's American so some language is mom instead of mum etc, and some information is more suited to American healthcare but this really didn't affect my usage too much.
My favourite parts of the app are:
The daily/weekly blogs. Everyday there is a nice paragraph on something pregnancy related. Some facts, some suggestions, just nice nuggets of information that relates to the stage of pregnancy you are at. Very helpful and nice to read when you wake up every morning. The weekly blogs are even better with a lot of information for you about what stage your baby is at, as well as you. It also has a paragraph for your partner and what he should expect week to week. My week count always goes up on a Saturday so it's mine and Sam's little ritual every Saturday morning to read the next week of information on baby. It's so hard not to scroll though them all!

There is also the fruit size comparison page which is so sweet and really important for when you are imagining your baby. I wish every week I had taken a picture with each different fruit for comparison. Would have made a cool collage at the end! It's mad to think when we found out about her she was just a sesame seed and now she's approaching a watermelon (!)
There's also images week-by-week and a timeline, as well as this you can input your ante-natal appointments, your weight, any to-do lists you want. It has pages of what you need to buy, what to pack in your hospital bag, diet tips, symptoms explanations, basically any information you might require. All really helpful when you just want to get your information in one place and not be goggling EVERYTHING.
Finally, it has a really good name section where you can look through thousands of names and favourite the ones you like to look back on. Amazing for just browsing through for inspiration and throwing names out there to look back on later.
The app also has a kick counter and a contraction timer. I haven't used either of these. The kick counter just seems unnecessary as I was told not to worry about being so specific and more just to get to know your babies patterns. The contraction timer hasn't been needed yet as I still have 7 weeks to go whilst writing this! I'm sure between me and Sam we will use an app of some form when that time comes. I think that will be more down to him though!!
There are plenty of other very similar Apps available but I really liked this one. It had everything I wanted to guide me through my pregnancy. You can even download the free version if you are trying to get pregnant as it has information on cycles and fertility etc. A real all-rounder. 5 stars.
