So I have had a mixed week.... last weekend I fully spruced our house. Like cleaned for 4 hours, did about 4 washes, hoovered, polished, sorted out my kitchen cupboards, it really felt good. This weekend just been, not so much. Feel tired again. Not as bad as before but pretty uninspired to sort things out. Hopefully my energy returns soon.
I did my first maternity (fat bastard) shop which consisted of two trousers/leggings with that stretchy material that goes over the bump. So stylish... (!)Don't know whether I like them. I hate wearing anything tight over my stomach so we'll see. I also brought some baggy t shirts. Not maternity just a size bigger but they have some give! I have taken to wearing the hubby's jogging bottoms and t shirts as soon as I get through the door. Very comfy. And if I really want to treat myself: His boxers. I really recommend them, pregnant or not. So bloody comfy. The only problem is that you look mad. But you feel free, so swings and roundabouts really.
My bump is there... especially in the mornings when I'm lying down you can feel a definite bulge. I thought I felt the 'fluttering' feeling one day but it might not have been and it is a bit early. I am 15 weeks now. Still going soooooo slowly but I'm hoping it will speed up soon.
We're going on holiday in 17 days for a week to Cape Verde which will be lush. Hopefully I don't have any issues. I'm sure it will be fine. I am determined to have a full week of relaxing in the sun reading about a million books. Sam deserves a week off too and he can at least enjoy the cocktails. I will just be hanging round the buffet.
Baby is a pear this week which is starting to sound kinda big. I wanna see him (or her) again but got ages to wait for that! Baby names are still an absolute minefield. Can't decide on many at all. I like names that have a long version and a cute nickname and it's hard for boys names... For example I love Gus but not too keen on Angus and I like Ronnie but hate Ronald. Very annoying,
No new cravings or anything to report on that side of things. But I ate a lot of naughty things this weekend so I've tried to load up on fruit today. Will try and have a good week. It's so hard to cook at the moment though and normally I love cooking which is sad, especially for Sam as he isn't mad keen on cooking at the best of times. Just gotta slow the takeaways down a bit though. Don't want an obese baby growing inside me and I do want to look nice pregnant, not just fat. I hope in the next 3 weeks it becomes clear I am pregnant because I don't want to be in a bikini and just look podgy. I'll just have to do that pregnant women 'hold' of the stomach to make sure everyone is quite clear it's a baby in there and not too many burgers...
