So apparently I am now in my final trimester. It hasn't been the best week. It's like all the shit final symptoms have arrived at once, and I wouldn't mind but I still have 3 months to go!
My back has been in agony, sitting at a desk all day is destroying me. My work have been really supportive and are even letting me work from home on the afternoons where it gets too much but I don't want to take the piss so I'm trying to deal with it as best I can. I have two weeks off over Christmas so hopefully this will help in giving my back a rest, then I have just a month and a half of work before my maternity leave starts around mid Feb. I am massively counting down the days... Which I know is bad but I am very impatient to meet her.
Other than that though, I have had a nice couple of weekends getting all Xmassy! Done my tree and all my shopping and most of my wrapping. It was all fine shopping, I just took it nice and slowly and whenever my bags got too heavy I did a little trip to the car to dump it all and start fresh. Feels good now it's pretty much all done, just get to look forward to the big day. I am doing Christmas at our place this year so lots to plan. Is it wrong I've already got a full menu written up for the day including a plan for the roast?
Money is a bit tight this month, but I guess this is to be expected. Hopefully next month all will go back to normal. Last year I won about £500 in a poker tournament in December which was proper handy but I'm not playing this year. Can't risk the buy in money. I do miss it though. Hope I don't forget all my moves.
Baby has a proper little routine now in my belly. Kicking at similar times of the day. Sam likes to feel about for her and judge how she's lying. She seems to know when it's not mine or his hand on my stomach though because she's less likely to kick on command if anyone else tries to feel for one... I kind of wish you got to have another scan so we could see how she's doing in there but unless something seems wrong you don't get another one with paying for a private one. It's now the best time to get a 3D one but I don't think we will... They look a bit creepy and at £85 are a bit pricey. She seems merry enough wriggling around. She apparently weighs about a pound now and will be doing a lot of growing, she will also start opening her little eyes <3
It's crazy that from this point if she was god forbid born pre-mature she would have a good survival chance as everything is developed. But I would like her to cook for as long as possible! Well not too long, any time after March the 1st would be nice! I think she's going to come on March the 13th - a year to the day we moved into our flat. Me and Sam like doing things to the day so that's my prediction! Me and my friends have begun briefly discussing a baby shower... Needs to half organised soon I'm guessing. Maybe that can be one of the games predicting the birthday...
I made Sam take a couple of pictures of me this week before we went out for sinner and I'm next to my gorgeous tree. Check out my beautiful peacock baubles and blossoming bump. Ignore my chubby arms!!
