My little baby is kicking me a lot right this minute so she's reminding me to do another post.
All is fairly good right now, I'm feeling the best I've felt while pregnant. Pretty much myself just with a rounder tummy. My energy is good and general mood is very pleasant. TBH I don't think mood swings have been very prevalent thus far. I'm sure they'll kick in at some point and I'll be in tears over puppy adverts but so far so normal.
I didn't buy a baby outfit like I planned this weekend, but I did look. I also brought a couple of bits for her room - a mobile, and some tassels which will look cute, I got them online though so they won't be here for a while...I changed the colour scheme as anyone who follows me on Pintrest may have noticed and I think it's going to look amazing. All baby pink, mint and gold. I need to paint a pink wall actually, massively on my to-do list this weekend but looking like quite a busy one so we'll see.
There's a nearly new sale on in a couple of weeks so they'll probably be more sensible things to purchase there. I really just want a nice chunk of money handed to me so splurge on a load of baby stuff but know I can't what with that pesky mortgage.
I have two social events this Saturday night which will hopefully be OK. I tend to get a bit grumpy when I'm around people drinking so try to avoid the situations however I have a pre-hen meet up and a little uni reunion so I figure I'll just hit one after the other and just stay as long as I feel happy too. When I start to feel moody I know it's time to leave! I don't know what I'm going to wear though... Will have to give that some thought as I may need to put a dress on and I haven't tested one for a while... Heels are a bugger too. So uncomfortable but I am so tiny I do look slightly ridiculous with nothing boosting me up a bit.
Baby is the size of a cantelope, like a small melon. I can definitely feel her more and more, Sam will be able to know for sure it's her too soon. He's more excited about her being a girl now unless he's just pretending. She also has a name I think... Not 100% but we've started referring to her and talking to her by a particular name and it fits. Feels like that is her name so unless something drastic happens she is named :) but it's a bit of a secret... I know a lot of my close friends and family know but I don't think it'll be officially announced until she is here.
I'm really enjoying my food this week. It's like my taste-buds are working extra well. Everything just tastes amazing. Had a few Thai meals, a soup here, a curry there and they went down pretty well. Maybe my cravings will be Thai, I can think of worse cravings! Apparently they can fully taste everything I'm eating so good time to eat a huge variety of flavours because my daughter is NOT going to be a fussy eater. Hopefully this loving food thing won't last too long because I am over eating a lot. The food hasn't even got as much space to go so I'm just causing myself pain when I know I'm full but everything tastes too damn delicious to stop!
Might be going to a baby yoga class next week. Want lots of labour preparation so I'm reading a lot trying to get all the information I need before I write a birthing plan. Maybe need to speak to a few mums as well and ask them about their experiences... Lots to do but still a good 4 months to do it in. Can never be too prepared though :)
