New skills I've mastered as a mother..
I'm genuinely considering updating my CV with a few of these bad boys...
-Eating one handed.
-Eating left handed.
-Eating whilst breastfeeding.
-Eating one handed (left handed) whilst breastfeeding over the top of baby very carefully so as not to spill sauce on clean baby gro.
-Falling asleep at any given opportunity for a nap.
-Dressing a kicking, screaming, crying, hectic, hysterical baby in under 20 seconds. And getting all the poppers right first time. Boom.
-Not even flinching when sick/wee/poop comes into direct contact with hand/back/face.
-Hearing tiny quiet baby whimpers. Three rooms away. Through a roaring shower.
-Applying a full face of makeup in under 3 minutes.
-Brushing my teeth whilst doing a wee and checking Facebook. (particularly proud of that one)
-Internet food shopping.
-Avoiding housework. "Sorry about the mess I have a newborn"... Not sure how long that one will last. When is that not allowed?
-Boring friends/colleagues/acquaintances with pictures.
-Calculating exactly how much sleep I could get if I fall asleep....now!
-Googling. Everything.
-Smiling through gritted teeth when people without children say they're tired.
Da da! And this is only after 10 weeks. Imagine the new abilities I'll develop over the next year. Bring it on.
